Poesia sulla donazione – un’alba per me

Iole (trapiantata da 1 anno e mezzo) ha dedicato questa poesia ai suoi 20 anni del master sullo spazio.

Non c’e’ un’alba per me
Il mio corpo non ce la fa
Un giorno un dottore disse a me
Che non ci sarebbe piu’ stata
Un’alba per me
Ma l’alba e’ arrivata
E il sole illumino’ la Terra
Quel giorno
Ma non il mio cuore
I raggi del sole
Sui pezzi della mia vita
I globuli bianchi ribelli
Distruggevano me
Una macchina
Mi aiuto’ a vivere
Il mio sangue filtrato
Cicatrici sul corpo e nell’anima
Il moi corpo si sgretolava
Come sabbia nel vento
La mia volonta’ restava
Roccia e cemento
La scienza e la tecnica
Permise al sole di brillare
Sulla mia non vita
Un giorno
il sole non fu
Per un’altro umano
La sua famiglia dono’
Nonostante lo sconforto
e la disperazione
Un dono di vita
Per un’altro umano
Un pezzo di morte
Per ricostruire una vita
Quel giorno l’alba si levo’
Sui miei pezzi riuniti
Una vita
Finalmente
Che il sole sia
Sul suo corpo senza vita
Sulla mia gratitudine
E sulla mia vita
Le invenzioni dell’uomo
Mi hanno salvato
Ma e’ il cuore dell’uomo
Che mi ha ridato la vita
Pensiamoci dunque perche’
Ci sia un’alba
Per tutti quelli come me

un'alba per me

(Versione in Inglese)

There is no dawn for me
Because my body failed
One day a doctor told me
That there should not have been
A dawn for me
But the dawn had arrived
The sun shined for the Earth
That day
But not in my heart
My life was destroyed
By bloody white cell
That kept destroying in me
Any organs to be
I had a machine
That helped me to live
By cleaning my blood
From all that shouldn’t be
My organs were failing
But my will had been rising
With the help of science
The sun kept shine
Technology saved me
But it was not the life
I wanted for me
One day the sun did not rise
For another person here
His family decided
To give his organs
To make another person
To live and be
That day
A kidney arrived to me
The sun shined
And the dawn be
Also for me
My life now is different
But it is what I want for me
I want to share the thank you
I shall give to this person
That not anymore be
Some science and technology
That saved me
Comes from the space
So let the research be
In order to have the dawn be
For other people like me
